Graduates professional career tracking

Radom Academy of Economics in its over 15-years history has educated more than 7,000 graduates.

Since October 1st 2011, a Law was passed through a Parliament on Higher Education. According to this Law, all universities in Poland have been obliged track the professional careers of their graduates.

Monitoring is one of the methods of assessment and verification of education process and comparing it to the requirements of the labor market. The primary theme of the research was to focus on the quality of teaching at various Universities, understood as a modification of programs or teaching methods. Today, universities track the professional career of their graduates in many countries. More and more often, these are system studies, including a growing number of organizations, ultimately the whole country.

Radom Academy of Economics surveys its graduates. It’s a confidential survey which means that the results are used only for the statistics.

Monitoring of professional career of graduates in Radom Academy of Economics so far has been very selective – only a few faculties conducted it. Since the academic year 2012/13 as part of the Office of Career, career tracking of graduates is done on a regular basis.

The first stage of the research was conducted between September and November of 2013 and was focused on graduates of studies: full and part-time, Bachelor’s, Master’s, engineering and complementary Masters who left school and defended the thesis between the 2008/2009 academic year and the end of July 2013. Another study will be carried out after 3 years from graduation and 10 years after graduation.

In total, the questionnaire was filled by:

  • 75% of graduates of bachelor’s, full-time, Administration faculty, graduated in 2013;
  • 21% of graduates of bachelor’s, part-time, Administration faculty; graduated in 2013;
  • 14% of graduates of master’s, part-time, Administration faculty; graduated in 2013;
  • 11% of graduates of bachelor’s, part-time, Administration faculty; graduated in 2012;
  • 5% of graduate, part-time, Administration faculty; graduated in 2012;
  • 25% of graduates of bachelor’s, part-time, Journalism and Communication faculty; graduated in 2013;
  • 20% of graduates of bachelor’s, part-time, International relations faculty; graduated in 2013;
  • 12.5% of graduates of bachelor’s, part-time, Pedagogy faculty; year of graduation in 2013.
