Social pedagogy and pedagogical therapy

The idea of specialization:

This specialization aims to provide students with possible broad competence in the field of pedagogy, sociology, psychology, social prevention and care, psychotherapy and social therapy. Students will learn the various forms of therapeutic work with children and youth, as well as family and social groups. They can run corrective and compensatory classes. The emphasis is put on active learning so selection of content and methods of therapeutic interventions (workshops, creating and forming personal relationships as a basis for teacher’s work). This specialization next t methodological skill also develops interpersonal skills helpful for future teachers.

Graduates will be prepared to work as active animators of social life, competent in shaping the educational environment. Skills gained during the course of this study allow taking preventive, corrective and compensatory measures, for children, youth, and family, serving as a teacher or therapist. Graduates can work in all kinds of institutions: educational (as school counselors), psychological-pedagogical, therapeutic day care, Occupational Therapy Workshops and non-governmental institutions (unemployed and looking for work clubs, residential area clubs, centers for social prevention and work with the family at risk).
