Course specification
The fundamental goal of the course is to train and promote the qualified economics staff for the needs of business, administration , and various social sectors. The students will have acquired essential knowledge and skills needed to recognize, diagnose, and solve problems with running various businesses on the job market. They will also have learnt how to use rare human, physical, and financial resources successfully. Moreover, the students will have been acquainted with social, legal, and economic issues that are the cornerstone in understanding the nature of management in all its aspects. The social, legal, and economic content also helps to analyze processes, solve problems connected with making economic decisions on a global, national, regional, and local scale. The course programme is designed to meet the requirements of free-market transformations and Poland?s openness to the world and modern technologies. Thanks to that, the graduates will manage to adapt to rapidly changing market conditions. The course offers elective modules, which gives students an opportunity to choose the content of the course in accordance with their interests and a preferred career path. Career Prospects
A graduate of Economics is able to work in a socio-economic European sector without difficulties, can successfully take up a job as an economist that is also a specialist in managing financial, human, and physical resources. The graduate can conduct economic and financial analyses professionally that help to make rational decisions embedded in market economy theory. Moreover, the graduate can take up a job in enterprises of different ownership types and of different organizational and legal forms, public administration sectors (governmental and self-governmental), non-profit organizations, institutions of the European Union, or run an own company. The course entitles the graduates to apply for Master courses in Economics or related fields.
